  • Lithopone 30% is a perfect alternative to titanium dioxide in all natural and synthetic pigmented elastomers, as it is non-abrasive and extremely acid resistant.

  • Suppliers from China, India, and other countries with abundant mineral resources often offer competitive wholesale prices due to lower production costs
  • Furthermore, titanium dioxide is used in the food industry as a colorant and preservative. It is approved by the FDA for use in food and beverage products, providing a natural white color to items such as bread, pasta, and sauces. It also has antibacterial properties, which help to extend the shelf life of food products.

  • The global market for rutile titanium dioxide is competitive, with leading manufacturers continuously striving to improve their production processes and product qualityrutile titanium dioxide manufacturers. Innovations such as nanotechnology have allowed for the creation of nano-sized titanium dioxide particles, enhancing the pigment's performance in terms of opacity, strength, and durability. Moreover, environmental concerns have prompted manufacturers to develop more sustainable production practices, including the use of cleaner technologies and waste reduction strategies.
  • Titanium dioxide, on the other hand, is a naturally occurring mineral that has been widely used in cosmetics due to its ability to provide excellent coverage and sun protection. When used in conjunction with dimethicone, titanium dioxide can create a matte finish that helps to minimize the appearance of pores and,。

  • On November 23, 2022, the General Court of the European Union reversed the conclusion that titanium dioxide was carcinogenic and released a statement (1,2):

First, the Commission made a manifest error in its assessment of the reliability and acceptability of the study on which the classification was based and, second, it infringed the criterion according to which that classification can relate only to a substance that has the intrinsic property to cause cancer.

As part of our mission at CRIS we base our safety assessments on the currently available scientific evidence and consider many variables (e.g., study quality, journal of publication, etc.), even if it goes against previous conclusions. Evidence-informed decisions making is critical to ensure that the laws and regulations put into place are for the benefit of the population.

The EU General Court maintains that the scientific evidence presented wasn’t the complete picture for the ingredient, “in the present case, the requirement to base the classification of a carcinogenic substance on reliable and acceptable studies was not satisfied.

  • Installing rutile TiO2 wallpaper is a breeze, thanks to its pre-pasted backing. This eliminates the need for messy glue and allows for quick and easy installation. Plus, it is removable, so if you ever decide to redecorate or change the layout of your room, you can easily remove the wallpaper without causing any damage to the wall.
  • The production process of lithopone 28-30% at this factory begins with the selection of high-quality raw materials. Barium sulfate and zinc sulfide are sourced from trusted suppliers to ensure the purity and consistency of the final product. These raw materials are then carefully weighed and mixed in precise proportions to create the desired composition of lithopone.

  • As early as sixty years ago, zinc sulphide was first thought of as a pigment for coloring India rubber and a patent for the process of its manufacture was issued in England. But it was not until twenty years later that zinc sulphide and its manufacture was seriously considered as a pigment for paint, and in 1874 a patent was issued for a process of manufacturing a white pigment, composed of zinc sulphide and barium sulphate, known as Charlton white, also as Orr's white enamel. This was followed in 1876 by a patent issued to a manufacturer named Griffith and the product, which was similar in character to Charlton white, was known as Griffith's patent zinc white. In 1879 another patent for a more novel process was obtained by Griffith & Cawley, the product made under this process proving the best of the series placed upon the market up to that date. After that time many new processes were patented, all, however, tending to the same object, that of producing a white pigment, composed of zinc sulphide and barium carbonate, the results, however, in many cases ending with failure.

  • In vitro, in the hemocytes of the marine mussel Mytilus hemocytes, suspension of TiO2 NPs (Degussa P25, 10 μg/ml) stimulated immune and inflammatory responses, such as lysozyme release, oxidative burst and nitric oxide production. Vevers and Jha demonstrated the intrinsic genotoxic and cytotoxic potential of TiO2 NPs on a fish-cell line derived from rainbow-trout gonadal tissue (RTG-2 cells) after 24 h of exposure to 50 μg/ml. Reeves et al. demonstrated a significant increase in the level of oxidative DNA damage in goldfish cells, and suggested that damage could not repaired by DNA repair mechanisms. Another suggestion from the mentioned study was that hydroxyl radicals are generated also in the absence of UV light. It has been shown that fish cells are generally more susceptible to toxic/oxidative injury than mammalian cells.
